5th Grade Shout-Outs!

wteeple0

Dr. Rieger makes time during the Monday Morning Assembly to "shout out" St. Viator students who are excelling. This week, Mrs. Iannelli nominated her entire 5th grade class, and a couple of students in particular.

St. Viator utilizes iReady Math and Reading apps as part of the curriculum. The work is online, adaptive, and trackable. Mrs. Iannelli recognized that the 5th grade class logged the most minutes on task for both iReady Reading and Math. Way to stay focused! And they passed their lessons at a high rate in both subjects - nice work!

Teachers will share competitions with their classes, offering opportunities for students outside of our school. Mrs. Iannelli recently shared the AKC Canine Art Contest where the challenge was to create artwork highlighting human and dog connections. 5th grader, Alina C. entered a piece that was chosen as a finalist in the Nationwide AKC Canine Art Contest! Alina spoke about her artwork, sharing some of the details that she worked into the piece.

One more 5th grader shined by completing 28 iReady lessons during the last week. Asher J. worked hard to exceed expectations with his accomplishment! Asher scored perfectly in his lessons, demonstrating how to create success by putting in the work! Congratulations, Asher.

Dr. Rieger was so proud to share these students' successes with the school. We are all proud of their hard work and wish them well throughout the year.

Way to go, Eagles!
