These have been exciting weeks at St. Viator Elementary School as we welcomed our families back for the 2024-2025 school year! Everything has gone well and the students are ready for an excellent year!
Family Fun Fest
Dr. Rieger discovered the Family Fun Fest last year, so this was our second annual celebration. School families gathered in the rec center for an afternoon of fun! There was food, crafts, games, and activities to keep the students busy. And parents could attend information sessions on pressing topics like conflict resolution and stress management, and even get a chair massage!
Welcome Teas
We completed our "Welcome Tea" festivities, ushering our preschool students, into the building, their classrooms, and their new school community. We also had orientation for our Kindergarten students, now joining the "big kids" in school uniforms. The first floor was abuzz with activity!
First Day
Grades 1 through 8 found their rooms, sorted supplies, re-connected with friends, and welcomed new students. They made it official: we are back to school! The teachers greeted their classes and led the way to the rooms.
First Friday Coffee
St. Viator parents enjoyed coffee and conversation to celebrate the end of the first week of school. Our "First Friday Coffee" is a community-building event in the school yard. Brew Brew Coffee and Tea sponsored the event, continuing their support of the school as an alumni family. Great weather, great coffee, great attendance!
2024-2025 School Year
We are wrapping up these busy weeks feeling positive. The building underwent some maintenance this summer and looks great. Teachers are feeling positive, ready to start the lessons. Parents are smiling, students are happy seeing friends, and the school community is energetic. Here's to a great year!
