We love our "shout-outs", and Dr. Rieger makes it a point to share them each Monday. We want our St. Viator Elementary Students to know that we see their accomplishments and we celebrate them!
This week, we acknowledged our "Lexia Superstars" for continuing to work hard with the Lexia reading app. These students continue to level up in Lexia while completing the work at a high level. The Lexia Core5 Reading program is another educational technology tool that St. Viator students utilize to support their literacy development. Congratulations Lexia Superstars!
We also celebrated 5th grade student, Kenna J.! The 5th Graders have a Genre Book Challenge, where they are tasked to complete 14 books by December. This means a book from each genre. Kenna is the first person in her class to complete the challenge! No doubt, she was once a Lexia Superstar - way to go, Kenna!
The shout-outs at our Monday Morning Meetings are a big, public display of support for students' accomplishments. For our students who are struggling to connect with their work, we engage them more quietly. Our RTI Team supports students working through reading, math, executive functioning, and social-emotional challenges, helping them to create their own successes. St. Viator staff work together and engage outside assistance as needed to support our students. We enjoy celebrating all of our diverse learners as they continue their educational growth.
Are you interested in learning more about St. Viator Elementary School? Would you like to hear more about our curriculum and student support services? Maybe tour the school and see a school day in progress? We will host our next monthly "Welcome Wednesday" Open House event on Wednesday, November 13, from 9:00AM to 10:30AM. If that doesn't work with your calendar, contact William Teeple, Admissions Director, to schedule an individual family tour: (773) 545-2173. Either way, we look forward to meeting you here!
We are Peace Builders; We are Eagles; We are St. Viator!
