Friday Faculty Feature: Ms. Endre

St. Viator Elementary School introduced Ms. Endre at the end of the summer. Now, we want to share more about our Third Grade Teacher!

An Introduction...

This is Ms. Endre’s first year at St. Viator, but her eleventh year teaching. Drawing on her ten years of experience, Ms. Endre shared that she “loves building relationships with my students and watching them grow academically and personally.” When asked what she would if she wasn’t teaching, Ms. Endre replied, “I can’t imagine my life in another profession. This is always what I dreamed to be.”

After a couple of weeks here at St. Viator, Ms. Endre said, “So far, one of my favorite things about teaching here at St. Viator is the relationships [I’m building] with students and their families, and [between] coworkers.” At this part of the year, she says the most helpful thing class parents can do is to ask her if they have any questions; speak with her. Also, they can recommend fun field trip ideas (she is still fairly new to the city)!

More of the Details

Ms. Endre was generous when she answered our questions, so here is more of her background: She just celebrated her Birthday on August 24th - Happy (belated) Birthday! She studied at Ohio University and Notre Dame College. Ms. Endre enjoys spending her downtime reading. Her favorite book is My Sister’s Keeper, and her favorite author is Jodi Picoult. The farthest she has traveled (from Chicago) was to Mexico.

Ms. Endre shared these other personal favorites with us:

Favorite color: blue

Favorite food: Pepperoni Pizza!

Favorite holiday: Christmas!

Favorite drink to start the day: Chai Tea, or Diet Coke

Family Life

When it comes to her home life, Ms. Endre shared that she has a dog named Gracie, who is almost ten years old. She named her Mom as her hero, explaining, “When I was in college she had a stroke and it took away her ability to use her right hand (her dominant one), but I have watched her overcome some of the most difficult obstacles. She has learned and adapted to these limitations and nothing can stop her. When she wants to do something, she will find a way to do it.” What excellent inspiration!

Welcome, Ms. Endre!

Join us in welcoming Ms. Endre to the St. Viator Community as our Third Grade Teacher. We look forward to watching Ms. Endre lead Room 203 to success, and we wish her an excellent year!
