What an exciting day on the St. Viator Elementary School campus. Today was our Jog-A-Walky fun run, our fall fundraising event. We had a "Superhero Donut Dash" theme for the day, and wow, did our community respond!
Student Superheroes
We tasked students with collecting pledges for the run to raise funds in support of St. Viator.
Then, we challenged them to keep running laps on our various courses, moving their feet on behalf of our school.
The students exceeded expectations for both the fundraising and the running...
They are our superheroes!
Everyone enjoyed apple cider and apple cider donuts to celebrate their laps! Donut dash - mission accomplished!
Family Support
One of the many great things about St. Viator Elementary School is that our community feels "like family". With events like the Jog-A-Walky, it becomes an actual family gathering.
Parents and grandparents joined the students, cheering them on with signs and bells, even taking a few laps with their kiddos!
Teachers on the Course
Our teachers lent so much support to the Jog-A-Walky, which set the event up for success. School staff also leaned into the super effort!
The teachers also found their way onto the course, offering that little bit of challenge that the runners needed to finish their laps!
Our Gratitude
Pledges continue to come into the Jog-A-Walky page, so we are going to keep the site open until Sunday at 6:00PM: https://go.dojiggy.io/eagles24. Please donate if you are moved to support St. Viator Elementary School. We appreciate every pledge, and we thank our families, their extended families, alumni, and all of the friends of St. Viator who supported our fall fundraising run. Thank you students and school families; thank you teachers; thank you Dr. Rieger and staff. And thank you to our parent event organizers. From setting up the fundraising site to chalking racecourses in the parking lot, you made Jog-A-Walky happen, and we appreciate you! This community is amazing, and came together to support the Superhero Donut Dash. Thank you, all!
Congratulations to Room 104, our 4 year old preschool classroom! Ms. Elizabeth's room raised the most pledges as a classroom! Mrs. Iannelli's 5th grade came in a close second, and Mrs. Endre's 3rd grade class rounded out the top 3. Congratulations to Auggie C., in Ms. Elizabeth's room, for raising the most pledges in the entire school! Emma C., 5th grade, collected the second highest pledges. And Alexei A., 2nd grade, was our 3rd highest collecting student. Well done, students!
We are Peace Builders; We are Eagles; We are St. Viator!
