
The Eagles’ 2019 cross-country season came to a triumphant close with 8th grader Kendall Everson representing our school at the state meet. 1,404 runners from 259 schools competed at the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) state finals on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Maxwell Park in Normal, IL. Kendall ran the challenging 2-mile course in 12 minutes & 21 seconds, He came in #125 out of 230 runners in Class 1A commenting, “I’m happy with my race. It’s been a great season and I hope someone from St. Viator makes it back here next year.”
Kendall qualified for the Illinois State Cross Country final with a 15th place finish at the Sectional Meet on Saturday, October 12. Kendall is the 2nd St. Viator runner in as many years to qualify for the state meet.
